• A Nanny Housekeeper will have a ratio between domestic duties and care of the children. This ratio is entirely up to the family. The family must make this very clear when registering with the Agency to ensure suitable candidates are presented.
• They may work sole charge for a working parent or alongside mother or father.
• They may live with a family or live out and work part time or 5 to 6 days per week for 10 to 12 hours per day.
• A Nanny Housekeeper working alongside a parent may focus on housekeeping and have fewer duties with the children. Their duties here may be more of a back-up childcare solution.
• Candidates are primarily non-British however a good level of English is required.
• Candidates will have a minimum of 3 years housekeeping or nanny/housekeeping experience with verbal references available.
• Nanny Housekeepers duties may include; cooking, laundry, ironing, cleaning silverware, bathrooms, vacuuming etc, childcare assistance to a parent, sole charge nanny, plus baby-sitting.
• School-runs may be possible however it is important to note that Nanny/Housekeepers who drive are very rare and will expect a higher salary.
• Salaries in London for live in Nanny Housekeepers range from £300 to £400 net per week. Overseas expectations are £450 to £550 net per week.
• Daily Nanny/Housekeepers earn £8 to £10 net per hour and expect to work an 8 to 10 hour day.
